Get Started with version 2.5 or 3.0...
We are positively surprised by the large number of people who are registering for OpenRemote Designer 2.5 since last month. Seeing that many new users each day is very motivating and keeps us going.
The latest version of the OpenRemote Designer 2.5 with Controller 2.6 is the next step. It supports Java 1.8 and Drools 6.4 (thanks to Eric). The installer package for Synology has been completely updated by Patrick, including the latest version as well. To make your lives easier, Othmar released the 4th edition of his tutorial book 'How to Smart Homes', also using OpenRemote Designer 2.5 and again adding new chapters.
On Manager 3.0, we are making progress. We have defined the overall architecture and first code is available in one Big Repository on GitHub. We definitely could use your help. So once you tried it out and like what you are seeing, we hope you see a task for yourself...
We wish you all a very good holiday and hope for a smile while reading on.
Happy Holidays -- Pierre
